Both the Argonaut-SL (Side-Looking; left) current meter and the Side-Looking Acoustic Doppler Profiler (SL-ADP; right) are ideal for mounting on a wharf. Either can be fixed to a piling and be configured to provide real-time information on horizontal currents alongside the wharf.

The Argonaut-SL reports a single velocity that can extend as far as 22 m from the wharf, while the SL-ADP can provide a profile of the horizontal velocity in a series of cells that can extend over 100 m from the wharf.
