Water Treatment Facilities
[V]
I want to make measurements in water treatment facilities. [change]

ADV Family

Argonaut-ADV
|
To
date, the primary applications for SonTek/YSI products in water treatment applications has
been the estimation of water velocity in the extremely low flows of settling basins, and
for point measurement in supply canals. For either application, the Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV)
[above, left] line of
instruments are excellent choices, with the Argonaut-ADV
[above, right]
and FlowTracker Handheld ADV
[right]
perhaps providing the easiest to use and lowest-cost solution.
 |
 |
ADV mounted to
a pole and suspended from a movable bridge (left) to map the entire flow field of a
settling basin (right).
|
 |
The ADVOcean (left) is mounted on a stainless steel
clamp and further supported on a pre-fabricated platform consisting of a trolley and winch
system. The instrument was then lowered down at the clarifier outlet open-channel at a
water treatment facility to conduct a series of flow tests. |
 |
The FlowTracker Handheld ADV uses the ADV
technology in a compact, hand-held package to make accurate, high-precision water velocity
measurements in natural streams, weirs/flumes, and open channels related to irrigation,
stormwater, water treatment, and mining. Designed with the field user in mind, the
FlowTracker easily attaches to top-setting wading rods and features an automatic discharge
computation program that is based on USGS/ISO methods. |
