Ideal for monitoring flows in small channels from 0.5 to 16 ft
(0.3-5 m) deep, the Argonaut-SW offers advanced Doppler performance for sites previously thought impossible to measure.
Typically mounted on
the bottom of a channel, stream, or pipe, the SW measures water level and
vertically-integrated velocity, making it ideal for sites with reversing or
stratified flow conditions. Argonaut-SW

Laboratory-proven
ADV technology in a compact, hand-held package. Precision, single-point
water velocity measurements. The FlowTracker easily attaches to wading rods
and offers unparalleled shallow water and low flow performance. Features a
discharge mode based on USGS/ISO standards as well as a general purpose mode
for water treatment or other applications.

Measuring flows has never been easier than with the RiverSurveyor Acoustic
Doppler Current Profiling system. Designed specifically for use in rivers
and open channels, the RiverSurveyor hardware/software accurately measures
discharge from moving boats with unsurpassed accuracy and ease-of-use.
Available in several configurations and acoustic frequencies, rivers can be
profiled from less than 1 foot (0.3 m) to well over 300 feet (100 m).

The
RiverCat picks up where the RiverSurveyor leaves off by adding an integrated
floating catamaran, battery power, and a wireless radio link. Weighing less
than 25 lbs (12 kg), the RiverCat can easily be deployed as a tethered
system from bridges or towed behind a small boat or even a kayak. An
optional DGPS system makes the RiverCat a truly unbeatable package.

Easily
installed on a riverbank, bridge abutment, or other vertical structure, the
Argonaut-SL provides precise, 2D water velocity measurements in a horizontal
layer. Because it measures remotely, the SL can avoid flow disturbances
caused by the mounting structure. The SL supports the SDI-12 protocol, so it
is easily interfaced to existing instrument arrays, or it can simultaneously
record to its internal memory. The SL also supports current profiling and
direct flow output in open channels. Options include a vertical beam for
stage measurement and water quality instrumentation.

- Irrigation canals
- Open channel flow
- Pollution monitoring
- River gauging
- Ship berthing
- TMDL evaluation
- Velocity indexing
- Watersheds

The
Argonaut-XR offers all the features of the Argonaut-SL (including current
profiling) in a 3D version intended for mounting on the bottom of a river or
channel. The integrated pressure sensor allows a bottom-mounted XR to
automatically adjust the position of the sampling volume with changing tide
level or river stage.

The
Argonaut-ADV uses the same technology as the FlowTracker for continuous
single-point water velocity measurement in a compact package. Ideal for
short-term field deployments or permanent installations, the Argonaut-ADV
supports the SDI-12 protocol. Options include a built-in rechargeable
battery, pressure sensors, and water quality instruments. Unparalleled
low-flow and shallow water performance makes the Argonaut-ADV ideal for
lakes, marshes, and estuaries.
