SonTek-IQ
Ideal for monitoring flows in small channels, the SonTek-IQ starts with a custom flow algorithm derived from hundreds of field measurements. Four velocity beams profile water velocity in 3-D - both vertically and horizontally - ensuring complete coverage of the velocity field. The built-in pressure sensor and vertical acoustic beam work in tandem to measure water level. Simply input the channel geometry using the intuitive SonTek-IQ software and you are outputting flow data in minutes.

Developed with the irrigation market in mind, the SonTek-IQ can collect flow and volume data in as little as 8 cm (3 in) of water. Its five-beam pulsed Doppler design is Modbus, SDI-12, and RS232 ready. Even better news - the SonTek-IQ installs with limited or no earthworks. There are two versions of the SonTek-IQ - the standard model and the SonTek-IQ Plus which is ideal for water depths up to 5m (16ft). The SonTek-IQ Plus also incorporates advanced post-processing functions, providing deeper insight into your flow and volume data. Both models use SonTek's proprietary algorithm SmartPulseHD.

The SonTek-IQ software package is the starting point for interfacing with the instrument. The “SmartPage” has built-in icons that guide users through the configuration steps to collect the best possible data. After configuring the SonTek-IQ, data collection and downloading is easy. Simply connect to the system to download data files – the software organizes data files like a database; files can be sorted by Site name, File name, SonTek-IQ Serial number and Operator name, allowing users to find and use data quickly and easily.

Useful options and accessories make the SonTek-IQ a complete, turn-key solution.
The SonTek Flow Display has options for 4-20 mA outputs. Connect to the system and read flow data in the field without connecting to a laptop. More.
User friendly mounting brackets allow for the SonTek-IQ to be installed by simply inserting two bolts 12.7 cm (5 in) apart along the centerline of the channel.
Use this riser mount where sedimentation or burial may be an issue. Elevates the SonTek-IQ 2.5 cm (1") off the bottom of the channel.
