3000th Instrument Shipped

ADV probesSan Diego, California, September 2003 – SonTek/YSI is proud to announce its 3000th acoustic Doppler system was shipped to Dr. Katy A. Haralampides at the University of New Brunswick in Canada.

Dr. Haralampides recently purchased three ADVs (Acoustic Doppler Velocimeters) numbered 2999, 3000, and 3001 for hydraulics research in the two main flumes of her civil engineering laboratory. One of the flumes is used for studies in river hydraulics and the other has the capability to model the large-scale dynamics of the Bay of Fundy.

It is fitting that SonTek's 3000th acoustic Doppler instrument was from the ADV product line.  It is exactly ten years since the ADV was invented and shipped to our very first customer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
