SOPAC Wave StudiesSan Diego, California, July 2003 – SonTek/YSI has delivered three 0.5-MHz Acoustic Doppler Profiler (ADP) systems to the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC) in Fiji. The ADP systems will be used in the SOPAC/EU project "Reducing Vulnerability of the Pacific ACP States". The ADPs are equipped with pressure sensors and the SonWavePro directional wave package. The SonTek 0.5-MHz ADP was selected for its unmatched combination of resolution and profiling range. In addition to these three ADP systems, SonTek had previously provided SOPAC with a Triton-ADV Current Meter/Directional Wave Gauge.
