RiverSurveyor Version 4 Is Here!
San Diego, California,
February 11, 2004 – SonTek/YSI has released the new and greatly improved RiverSurveyor Version 4 software. Now,
in addition to being clearly the most user-friendly, moving-boat discharge
software in the world, it is packed full of even more exciting features.
New and experienced users will discover the updated capabilities to collect, analyze, and produce high-resolution river
discharge data are easier to use and more powerful than ever!
Take a look at what's new in Version 4:
- A redesigned, intuitive interface to simplify the data collection process.
- Real-time, time-series displays of data-quality parameters and alerts.
- Integrate an echo-sounder into your depth measurements - collect 3-beam depth data and echo-sounder data simultaneously.
- Real-time edge discharge calculations and updated summary output.
- Customizable tabular data tables.
- Improved data export and batch processing options - process all your data at once!
- Built-in help and a guide to the new Version 4 interface.
- Navigational Waypoints:
Set navigational "waypoints" when surveying with DGPS. Plot a course for your measurement with the new navigational controls and
display. Store this information so that measurements can be repeated without
difficulty.
- Discharge Report: This
HTML-formatted, customizable report outputs all your discharge information in a single
easy-to-read format. Add your company logo to the top for a professional
summary that can easily be printed.
If you are currently using a version of RiverSurveyor earlier than v4.20, you

*Note 1: A software license is needed to run this
program, which requires that the ADP has the bottom-track option. If your ADP has the
bottom-track option installed, but you have not received a software license to run
RiverSurveyor, you can request a RiverSurveyor
software license.
*Note 2: If you have a version of
RiverSurveyor that is earlier than v4.20, we recommend that you UNINSTALL the
"old" version before installing the "new" version. This is REQUIRED for any of
our beta testers.
