Oceans '06 MTS/IEEE
You can find the YSI family of businesses at booths 601/603, where Application Specialists will be on hand to share with attendees the latest information relating to all areas of coastal and ocean monitoring systems, be it water quality profiling, water velocity measurement, data monitoring systems, or integrated full-solution packages. See a full-size buoy, with and integrated ADP on display, as well as many of the systems currently available through YSI, Endeco, and SonTek. Also, make plans to attend a special session entitled Improved Long-Term Monitoring Systems for Water Quality Parameters, presented by YSI's Rob Ellison and Endeco's Kevin McClurg. This talk will interest those facing challenges when trying to deploy long-term, real-time, water monitoring systems. These challenges might include biofouling, corrosion, wave action, power management, sensor stability, and installation and maintenance costs. The session will be held Wednesday at 10:15 am, in Meeting Room 111. Massachusetts and the surrounding New England region enjoys a centuries-old relationship with the ocean -- from the fishing and whaling ports of Gloucester and New Bedford to the premier technology centers of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the US Navy's Undersea Warfare Center.
