May, 2006 – The Oi06 conference theme "Ocean Technology in Service to
Society" covered a range of international science, research, and
commercial topics. Visitors attended multidisciplined sessions that
promoted sharing of new ideas, study of industry best-practices, and
learning about the latest advances in oceanographic research tools.
SonTek/YSI, along with corporate colleagues YSI and Endeco, were well
represented among the 500+ exhibiting companies. Event planners estimate
nearly 7,000 professionals and key buyers from the world of marine
science, oil & gas, and naval defense made their way through the maze of
exhibits.
