Integrated Mini-ADP/V-Fin System

Multi-Purpose Mobile Surveying System

The integration of the SonTek/YSI 1.5-MHz Mini-ADP with the Endeco/YSI Model 1112 CPV-FIN (commonly referred to as the V-Fin), is a prime example of how the marriage of two existing and proven technologies can be combined into a single, multi-purpose surveying system.

The V-Fin configuration mounts a powerful current profiler (with full bottom-track capabilities) to a light-weight (23 lbs in air) and extremely stable, 2-foot long, reinforced fiberglass body. Equipped with a SonTek/YSI 1.5-MHz Mini-ADP current profiler (with optional depth sensor), this system is designed to be installed by a single user and towed from any small vessel. The V-Fin is designed for vessel speeds up to 20 knots, in water up to 20-meters deep. Low drag and high stability of the platform is guaranteed.
