SonUtils
(Win Vista/XP/2K)

SonUtils
(Win 95/98) |
The SonUtils Windows-based software package
contains utility programs that can be used with any SonTek instrument. With
SonUtils, you can:
- "Talk" directly to any SonTek instrument
- Download data from an internal recorder (if installed)
- Calibrate the internal compass/tilt sensor (if installed)
- Load probe calibration files (ADV-based systems)
- Load pressure sensor calibration files (if installed)
- Update instrument firmware (on systems that support "downloadable"
firmware EPROMs)
The Windows Vista/XP/2K version of SonUtils includes features that allow
you to:
- Simultaneously monitor more than one instrument (one instrument per
COM port up to a maximum of eight).
- Run beam diagnostics on certain instrument types (primarily ADV and
Argonaut-based systems).
- Plot theoretical signal strength decay curve. This curve is useful
in viewing non-uniform features in a profile.
- Enhanced support for creating your own script files and command
buttons for use within SonUtils.
- Expanded help file in PDF format (click here for a
free copy of the Adobe
Acrobat Reader).
- Download internal recorder files at extremely fast rates using the
included SonRecP program. Cautions apply to this program, so
read about SonRecP before using it.
- Set up communication parameters for use with SonTek's Modbus
Interface Module (MIM).
